Nursing Home Abuse Prevention
In order to prevent nursing home abuse the management first of all needs to address the problems related to nurse home staffing. Most the problems like negligence and mistreatment in nursing homes arise from low paid, under trained or under qualified staff. Under such circumstances not only the elder people suffer but community on the whole in under risk. To overcome such a challenge a country wide awareness program is required. To prevent an abuse at a nursing home people must be ready for system reforms along with implementation of abuse laws to check the offenders.
Different ways have been suggested to prevent a nursing home abuse. First and foremost is the appropriate professional training coupled with proper wages for the medical staff. Second is the role of regulatory staff in running the work-place protocol. Alleviating the standard of medical care especially for elder patients could also make a significant difference. Another important aspect is the amount of information that residents and families should have in order to judge good and bad facilities. Governing bodies should implement the laws and plans as soon as possible in order to prevent needless death, injury or illness that has badly effected countless elders in the country.
